Sega Saturn Cinepak (CPK) to Video For Windows (AVI) Converter

* Function
CPK2AVI is a program used to convert Sega Saturn Cinepak formatted
files (CPK) into Microsoft Video For Windows RIFF AVI format files,
so that they can be viewed on any PC capable of playing AVI files
(with programs such as Media Player in Windows 3.1 and Win95).
* Operating System Support
This program is for use in DOS, DOS/V, Windows 95 DOS window, or
Windows 95/J DOS window.
* Command Line Usage
Usage : CPK2AVI [-i] [-v|-p] CPKfile AVIfile|WAVfile
CPKfile = Sega Saturn Cinepak file.
AVIfile = AVI file to be made.
WAVfile = WAV file to be made (*Only when using -p option*)
Example : CPK2AVI SATURN.CPK MOVIE2.AVI
This will convert the Saturn Cinepak file SATURN.CPK into a
RIFF AVI file MOVIE2.AVI viewable by players that handle the
AVI file format.
Options :
-i = Give information about Cinepak file. This option can be
used alone, while doing a normal conversion, while using
the -v option, or while using the -p option.
Example : CPK2AVI -i SATURN.CPK
This will give information about the SATURN.CPK file
without doing a conversion.
Example : CPK2AVI -i SATURN.CPK MOVIE12.AVI
This will give information about the SATURN.CPK file
and convert the file SATURN.CPK into MOVIE12.AVI
-v = Convert Cinepak's video only. This option can NOT be used
at the same time as the -p option.
Example : CPK2AVI -v SATURN.CPK MOVIE9.AVI
This will produce the file MOVIE9.AVI which will contain
only the video from the SATURN.CPK file.
-p = Convert Cinepak's audio only. This option will produce a
WAV format file. This option can NOT be used at the same
time as the -v option.
Example : CPK2AVI -p SATURN.CPK AUDIO21.WAV
This will produce the file AUDIO21.WAV which will only
contain the audio from the SATURN.CPK file.
* Information
This program was originally programmed by a Japanese man that went
by the alias of Pootaro. He originally programmed it on 10/25/95,
but the program was in Japanese. So I took the liberty of breaking
down his code and translating it all into English on 6/8/96. I
would have translated it alot sooner, if I knew this program had
existed.  On 6/10/96, I received written permission by Pootaro
on re-releasing the program in English.
I will be releasing a Windows 95 version in the near future. So
watch for it.....
