Sega revealed new info on their GameBoy Advance communication RPG Shining Soul 2, the sequel of the popular action RPG released last year, up to 4 players can play the game over the link cable. The game is scenario based, each scenario has various goals and events and final boss to defeat. There are a total of 8 job classes to choose from: Ninja, Brawler, Monk, Wizard, Soldier, Dragon Knight, Sorcerer and Archer. Other new elements include new actions such as cooperation attacks, throwing items, and blow-out attacks. Shining Soul 2 is scheduled to release in Japan this summer.

Communication rpg? Is Sega trying to impress us by creating a new subgenre of rpg's? imo they are pulling a subgenre out of their ass and playing the name game thinking they will profit from it.

Sounds a little like the multiplayer aspect of LttP Advanced...

But this is the first time it has been done to a rpg.

NOTE: The only zelda game close to being a rpg was Adventure of Link, 2nd NES game, and no one enjoyed it except me and maybe a few others.
