What is this game?
Jedi Master Thrash - Jan 11, 2004

In the SegaXtreme Movies -> Sega Commericals archive, in the video "Mega CD" under Sega CD commercials.

The first part of the commercial shows a bunch of Genesis/Mega Drive games.

Beginning at exactly 2:15 into the video and continuing for about 2 seconds is a short clip of a game. It appears to be a left-to-right driving/combat game. Or at least a special driving level from some non-driving game.

Anyway, it looks like it might be fun. However, I have no idea what game this is. I've searched through the Genesis Collective and have been unable to find any side-ways driving games in existance for the Genesis. The vehicle looks mysteriously like the Batmobile.

Does anyone know what it is?

Thanks,

JMT.

Batman returns Megacd version?

Um. No.

If you re-read my post, you'll notice two things I said:

1. First, I said I was referring to the part of the video where it was showing only genesis/megadrive games. If you watch the video, you'll know what I'm talking about.

2. I said it was a left-to-right driving game. Batman Returns CD is a first-person driving game.

It's Batman for sega genesis/megadrive, i think. I've never played it, but it has the same on screen display as this screenshot:

I was thinking of the wrong commercial then.

Why not make a screen?

EDIT: Seen it. Its just the first Batman game. (not Returns)

I tried to take a screenshot, but it was playing in windows media player, and windowz won't capture video when you do a printscreen. Not sure how to get it capture video overlay without installing some shakey shareware.

Paused or playing, it doesn't make any difference. The screen capture shows up as black. PrintScreen doesn't capture video overlay.
