Does anyone know of any free software which would allow me to watermark video files?

Virtualdub probably would, and thats free.

In virtualdub after loading the avi file you want to add it to, just go up to video, select 'full processing mode', then under filters select the 'watermark log filter'.

Downside, it requires you to completely reencode the file as each frame is altered with the new logo. The logo can be a image file made in photoshop or something (bmp, jpg, the sort). Best time to do this filter is when you initally compress the video file because it will decrease the quality of an already compressed file.

I'm missing some codecs for AVI files. Know of any good places to download them?

Thanks vbt. That download worked great.

As for adding the watermark; after following Lord's directions I found that the was no 'watermark log filter' in 'Filters' So how is it done?
