looks kinda like a VGA port, i dont know though. I dont even have a regular game cube, so i wouldnt even know that is out of the ordinary if it wasnt for him saying so.

I have my doubts that it's a dev unit. Possibly a modded test unit of some kind, but dev units typically use stuff like SCSI and proprietary interface cards/carts combined with a normal unit, or a more specialized unit that doesn't externally look a whole lot like the consumer version (e.g. Dreamcast and the Katana Set 5) to get the job done. I suppose the 9-pin connector might be fibre channel or something along those lines, but I'm not holding my breath.

It's not.

The GC Dev unit use large rewritable carts with a funny looking handle on the top. Aparently they did this to save developers the cost of always having to burn gold testing discs.

I remember seeing an article on it a while ago. If I find it I'll post the link here.

If it's not a variation of a dev kit (I did see that one with the cart), then my best guess is it's either some homebrewn dev kit, or someones failed expiriment in trying to rip games.

how would you rip games with a video card?

 FLEABttn_vbulletin3_import15977 Mar 30, 2002
Perhaps it's not a video card...

Perhaps I'm an idiot...
