Need a response ASAP (soldering iron is still hot from modding TWO 64 pin saturns with the jandaman.com mods )

My friend is modding his 4-in-1 cart

Kynar is actually the insulation, the wire is just going to be copper like any other wire. Usually Kynar-insulated wire is very thin gauge such as wire wrapping wire (e.g. 30 gauge).

edit: just to make it a bit more clear, NCS telling you to use Kynar/wire wrap wire is really just a suggestion because it's easier to jam into a PCB/IC lead joint, you could use other wire if you can get it to stick reliably.

I've done teh same mod with speaker wire... and some generic wire from radio shack, as long as it's shielded... and carries a current... it should be fine.

Bah seeing how the 4 in 1 wasn't working at all (ie we couldn't get any of the 4 meg games to work or the cheat functions or the backup memory), my friend skipped the mod.

Oddly enough Panzer Dragoon Saga complained about the cart. Weird shit.

Oh well I got my 64\21 pin US saturn modded, and so is my friends white 64\21 pin Jap saturn. :cheers

Where'd you get your mod boards... and yeah pds will do that, it doesn't like carts lol. It tolerates my 3rd party mem card, but when you save a game it sends a bunch of garbage in, and I end up with all these little garbage files on it. The mod is easy enough to do, and it may be a case of the 4in1 cart not being detected properly. Most saturns it seems like have issues with their cartridge slot.

Edit: re-read the first post, don't need an answer on where you got them ^_^.

PDS complains if it sees anything in the cartridge slot other than a save cartridge.

There is a patch for the PDS CD's to allow it to work with a cart in the cartridge slot... I've tested the patch myself.. would be fun to cheat for once.. but the game is pretty easy anyways... no need to cheat...

There's also an AR cheat which bypasses it if you have an AR. =)

Not that I've ever seen any AR codes besides the code to bypass the cart check or whatever.
