So I think I fried my Saturn

I was trying to circumvent the system that detects wheter the CD-ROM drive bay for my Saturn (with the power on), and there was a small green flash of light emitted either from the A/C adapter or the in front of it. Now it won't turn on. I knew it was a mistake to have the Saturn on while it was open, but are there any ways to diagnose/fix my problem?

Buy a new Saturn :/

Where was the green light emitted from? The power light, or a circuit?

Green light only comes from copper oxide from memory.

Not the power light. It was either the A/C cable, or "R63" or "VR1" on the gold circuit board.

I'll try to find a picture of a Saturn and show where it lit up. I wasn't even using a screwdriver, or even anything metal, really. I had a paperclip holding the drive bay status detector to the closed position with electrical tape, and was adjusting it when the light appeared for maybe a second at the most, and then it was dead.

Edit: I couldn't find a good picture, so here is a diagram (albeit awful)

i think your best bet is to get another saturn, its proberly best to look for another saturn.. sparks and saturns dont mix

from the position, I'd say it was the fuse. try replacing it for the same type.

My minimal knowledge of electronics stops at basic circuit diagramming, Would the fuse be the 'I' shaped thing, the 'O' shaped thing or something else?

it's a small glass cylinder with metal ends.

I think I see it. Is it supposd to be black? (because it might have turned black when I broke it) It says F1 next to it.

the black indication would suggest its blown

replace it with another of the same rating, but before you switch it on check you havent dropped anything like a screw or any metallic objects on the unit (turn it upside down while holding the cd drive as well just incase theres something you missed)
