Lo fellow Sega fans,

I've got a bit of an annoying problem with the Streetfighter games on my Saturn (and PSX too). I never really played SF 'til I got Street Fighter Zero 2, after which I became quite a fan of the series

So I went to look at some FAQs to get to know some moves, and I decided to start with Ken.

I got no problem doing the hurricane kick move, but ften when I try to do a Hadou-ken (the fireball thing) I do a Shoryu-ken instead! Same thing happens when I try a Shoryuken. Now what exactly is the difference in D-pad moves between the two? Anyone familiar with this problem?

the Shoryuken kinda does the joystick move (1/4 turn) twice before the punch.

the fireball only needs one 1/4 turn before the punch

Fireball is down, down forward, forward, punch.

Dragon punch is forward, down, down forward, punch. Although people do often do the double quarter circle for convenience as well.
