At least in UK with Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. It's maybe noth their best game but it's good to see they can still do high sales. I guess the couple Sonic + Mario is an unbeatable couple to sell games.

This game hasn't even been out for 3 months and it has already sold 2.5 million* copies. Some would say this could become Sega's biggest selling game of all time (Sonic 2 sold 6 million*). Is this the beginning of Sega's comeback?

...yes, but it's not a standalone Sega game. There aren't exit polls for this thing, but are people buying it because of Mario, Sonic, or both?

That Sega tennis game's sales will probably be a good point of comparison.

Quite frankly, I *love* that Sega is dusting off the old franchises and aren't milking them by putting them in stupid games (i.e., everything between 2002-2007, it seems).

Although it has reached the top spot in the combined formats charts, Electronic Arts Burnout Paradise has failed to outpace Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games at the top of the UK individual format charts, with sales of the Wii exclusive actually rising by seven percent.
