Sega and Dubai properties firm Emaar plan to open a number of indoor theme parks across the Middle East and North Africa.
The parks will be developed in Emaar's shopping malls, with the first outlet planned for The Dubai Mall, a split-level 76,000 square foot complex in Downtown Burj Dubai.
The complex will be based on Sega's Joypolis centres in Japan and feature an indoor roller-coaster, simulators and arcade machines.
"Entertainment is about living dreams, it is about experiencing joy and culture. In joining with a company of Emaar's stature and power, we hope to convey the pleasure and excitement inspired by great entertainment to people all over the world," commented Hajime Satomi, CEO of Sega.
