The ram chips for sega saturn are hard to find.
1. For work ram high (IC3 and IC4) and sprite character ram (IC11) it uses HM5241605TT-17
Can i replace it with IC42S16100-7T? If i solder it without any pin lifting, A11(new)->A9(old), A10(new)->A8(old). I will also connect A9(new) and A8(new) to gnd. Will that work?
EDIT: i've just tested it for IC11 in a console with super dark screen. I can't see much, but it seems that it works.
2. Any idea for replacemnets for HM5221605TT-17 (IC12/13/15/16)? |
