reset button hack/switchless mod

hey guys.

I've just recently made sebk's ultimate switchless mod for my pal SS mod 1 (oval buttons).

Now the key is that the chip overrides the reset button so that it can decide when to reset the saturn.

this is what the tutorial says: http://seb.riot.org/saturnmod/frontside.sml...

Since i have a diferent model, this is what the reset switch connector (that goes to the switchboard) looks like (bottom of the motherboard):

So according the the tutorial, here is my first impression:

After finishing this mod it wasn't quite what i expected. The mod itself works but the saturn still resets itself. so when changing region/ouptut i'dd still have to power off/on the console for it to take effect. So i went to invetigate it further and this is what i came up with:

Only problem is, this doesn't make much sense to me (my diagram could be wrong though). So if anyone could point me in the right direction, it would be much apriciated.

owkay guys,

I figured it out, thx to Seb.

Here's the right diagram:

I was confused about the capacitor, but Seb pointed out that the C122 is a 'debouncing' capacitor.

I'll be putting up a website with instructions for a model 1 (VA0 mobo) SS soon (with the approval of Seb).

So stay tuned model 1 owners.
