PSO vs FFXI Online

After reading the old time reviews by players of PSO, seems the ratio is about 1 to 5. 1 bad review for every 4 good ones. I recently read the FFXI Reviews, and its about the same ratio. Many people say it's got countless hours of walking from place to place, people complain about having to solo, and the language barrier too.

On top of that i hear the PC play control blows, and if you want it for ps2 its $99, cause it comes with a hard drive for the ps2.

Just curious of the PSO players opinion on this game

They're two different styles.

FFXI is an MMORPG with a persistent world...

PSO is an Online RPG with multiple independant resetting worlds.

There are also Independant Semi Persistant worlds

I was just throwing it as a reference to see what people would vote. Personally Im a fan of persistant world games, but somehow i got hooked on PSO back on the dreamcast

Im a big fan of roleplaying though, and in non persistant worlds, roleplaying is like a naughty word lol

Persistant world MMORPGs are cool and all, but PSO just has that fun gameplay that keeps me coming back.. levelling up is less of a chore as well. The character designs are also much cooler in PSO.
