Pro Action Replay -- Bypass Boot Sequence
Omni - Oct 13, 2004

I know that a Pro Action Replay /er...Action Replay Plus, whatever, can't actually boot pirated or ISOs or homebrews, just boot games regardless of region.

But in the Sega CDC Library thread by CyberWarriorX he mentions something about registers and arguments read to confirm and boot Saturn CDs (at least I think so, I'm no genius with assembly).

Would it theoretically be possible to create a booting tool with the ARP that takes advantage of this? Can programs created with the ARP even access the full Saturn memory map? Do I even know what I'm talking about, or should I just shut up?

I dont have the time to search... but this was discussed before in the past.

I found this....

Which is the thread I assume you're talking about. So, I guess either it's not possible, or no one's tried it yet, since that thread seems to die unexpectedly.

YEPPER, thats the one. I can't use the search tool here at work, my work blocks alot of stuff, especially java.
