I got a Genesis game that had come from a video rental, and stuck on the back of the cartridge was a "Please Rewind Tape" sticker like they put on all the videos.
Here's your sign.

Thats not as bad as people selling DVD rewinders.

If it's at least covering a screw, it could be meant as a tamper evidence seal. Some people have been known to rent a new/expensive game and swap out the PCB for a cheap/old one...

Back when I worked for Blockbuster, I was known to stick the Be Kind, Please Rewind stickers inside the DVD cases just to see if anyone would ever ask...
Of course, we did once have a little old lady bring her VCR in to the store to ask us to take it apart and get the DVD out of it. She seriously thought it would work.
And we also had a LOT of people who thought their PSX could play PS2 games, and people who thought their new Xbox could play PSX games.

Hey, the Dreamcast could play PlayStation games, so why can't the Xbox as well?
