Hi!

I'm new here.

I want to start deving for the Sega Saturn video game.

I have some questions:

The apps will boot on a non-moded Saturn?

Where do I get the tools/libs/compiler?

Is possible to use GCC to compile for SH? Or need to use Sega's compiler?

Any starting guides?

I like to get any help on Genesis dev too.

See later

I'll answer your questions.

1) No, but they can also be loaded with the swap trick, provided you make the CD properly.

2) I have them, but I have nowhere to upload them.

3) Theoretically yes, but you'll want to use Sega's version of GCC with the SGL, unless you want to write your own libraries.

4) Yes, I forgot where they were though.

If you want to do Genesis dev you can check out http://www.eidolons-inn.de.... It has some assemblers and documentation. Another good site is http://cgfm2.emuviews.com....

The SGL and Saturn libraries are said to be in this ftp :

ftp://saturn:saturn@24.46.81.91/...

There are also a couple of simple SGL tutorials I did in both Word and .PDF format.

http://www.clubotaku.org/Saturn/Tutorials/...

at http://saturndev.emuvibes.com/... there are supposed to be links to sites that host some important documentation in PDF format, but most of those went dead when xoom closed their services.
