Network Monitor Program

I was curious if anyone could recommend a program that monitors and logs total incoming and outgoing data (i.e. number of packets, from where, total bytes transferred, etc.) over the course of a programmed/preset time (ie 12/24 hours). Not really required, but would be appreciated is to see/check this info from a remote computer.

Thing is, I don't really know what this program would be classified as, so if there's a general title that someone could provide, that'd be fine as well.

Goto ZDNET.COM/downloads and do a search under network monitor and you should find at least 20 or 50 different apps

Sometimes also called a network analyser. Network analysers can also do a whole lot more - like capturing all the packets of information floating around.
