You cannot have an image "in TAO or DAO." That has only to do with how you burn it. But I'm assuming that for some reason, when you try to burn in DAO mode, it fails? Does it burn but not work? What happens?

my burner won't burn in TAO.

when i try to burn the image, i get the error "cannot write in TAO with this recorder!" this is using nero 5.

i'll fiddle with it. i'm probably going to feel like an idiot if i figure it out.

when you load the cuesheet in nero, (or some other image file ...) you'll end up in a window where you can change the burning method... default is TAO, you should be able to choose from TAO, DAO, DAO96.... use DAO96 if it is available, if it isn't use DAO...

Nero also needs to run in full (registered or trial) mode, not Express - in Express mode you don't get the choice of burning modes, and apparently it'll just default to TAO then...

After all, have you managed to burn it correctly?
