comparing my euro md32x with my genesis32x i was surprised to read both circuit boards were marked the same:

1994 837-10926 IC BD MARS SUB VAO NTSC

does any one know why? does it explain why using a 32x corrects video output from a mod megadrive (60 hz)? has it an universal video output converter?

currently i dont have any 32x euro games but i will try running us games on it to see how it works (if it works  )

It probably wont. Each 32x has a small bios in it which most likely controls the region.

yes dont get me wrong siamese, the country code protection still applies.

The region information is not contained in or checked by the BIOS. It is read from a register by the game itself, much like with the Genesis.

YOU ALL WERE RIGHT! doesn't work with US GAMES

i'll keep looking for euro stuff, that's how collections build up

isn“t it?
