longer lasting battery for game gear

i got both sega power back for the game gear and

the fat brick like battery pack. they both got a relative

short charge so i was wonderig if it would be possible

to

1.- using a female connection from a damaged gg

connect it (parallel) to the power back outlet

2.- plug the battery pack to the additional connection

3.- plug the power gack to the game gear

that way, i think , voltage will remain the same

but the final battery life will be....... um, longer?

i'm i just hallucinating?

it's frustrating to get to the last stage of sonic triple

trouble and then your power back charge dies

any ideas?

when i was little... i would electrical tape 2 groups of 3 D cell batteries. and wire them into their appropriate spots. and play my gg that way, it was huge, looked uber cool, and made funky hand grips. lots of life too.
