Jap console

			Hello, i had a Jap console with a dead power supply, thank to MAL i was able to get a aussie PSU and put it in... now here is my question, this unit has an OLD mod chip in it it is one of hte ones that requies you got get another ribbion cable. does anyone know what voltage they run at.. i tryed 3 and 5 not to game to try 9 the CD rom does not spin up at all... i have not tryed to remove the MOD yet.. if no one knows ill have to remove it and see if the console works thanks

			I would have said 5v. Have a look at where it was attached to the old PSU ('cos you've still got it ). It would probably connect to the same point on the new PSU. It could always be that the mod died when it was run over voltage.
