Gameshark reflash CD problem

First of all its great to see there is still an active Saturn community.

Following the helpful discussions here, I have a successfully modded my 64pin chip / 21pin ribbon saturn with a modchip from www.consoleaccessories.com...

Now, I have downloaded and burned the gameshark/PAR reflash iso image from the following

thread:

http://forums.segaxtreme.net/index.php?showtopic=1...

I have tried to use this CD image (arflash-datelar.iso) to flash my v1.7c interact gameshark with no luck. All I get is the gameshark menus. I am not sure, but I assum the flashCD would boot with instructions/warnings, but nothing happens.

All I can get is the LOADING... message if I try to "start the game without enhancements" but it seams to pause here indefinitely.

I used Nero 6.6.0.3 to burn the image, this version works fine for other saturn isos I have burned to CD-R.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tom

What happens if you try to boot it without the Gameshark?

Hello ExCyber,

The first disk I burned did not boot at all.

Shortly after I posted, I wrote a cue file for the iso as follows:

FILE "arflash-datelar.iso" BINARY

TRACK 01 MODE1/2048

INDEX 01 00:00:00

And the burned disk was loaded by the gameshark and I was presented with the press A+B+C+START option.

134 "pages" were written OK and the DONE! message appeared.

However the gameshark does not boot at all now.

I simply get the SEGA Enterprises splash screen and it hangs.

I am using a US saturn if that is important.

Unfortunately, I did not record the flash and dev IDs.

They were not recognized, yet I threw caution to the wind and proceeded anyway.

I don't suspect it can be salvaged?

I thank you for the reply and any advice,

Tom
