I'll answer my own question. Here's some info that might help someone. I have an FZ-1 that wouldn't play most backups, and when it did the FMV was skipping or the audio tracks from the cd would loop or skip also. I adjusted the laser potentiometer clock-wise from its default setting to 600 ohms. This setting eliminated the problems. Cdrs I used were Verbatims, TDK, Sony. I recommend the Verbatims. I also have an FZ-10 which plays everything, the laser on that one is 722 ohms in case anyone wants to know. Laterz!! |
