DivX discussion

Hey guys. Just wanted to discuss about DivX...

I've capped some shows with divx 3.11 and haven't toyed too much with 4.0 etc. I tried doing that once and my video came out all unsynched. Anyone try divx 5.0? Is it really that much better than 3.11? Does your audio-video stay synched?

Now onto encoding... I've recently just moved from VDub to Nandub.... I just want to know what you guys have as best "recipes" to encode

1) cartoons and

2) live shows

Ie. Nandub Advanced settings, etc., and Processes of capture (what resolution and what region are you in? I'm in NTSC), and Filters + Settings =)

I just want to compare and probably improve.

I've seen some captures using Nandub's 2-pass, and they are great in cartoons, but i'm wondering it Divx 5.0 is better than using Nandub + DivX3.11

? Well, Cappers Unite and Reply! =)

The best encoder I've ever used was vidomi, all you did was load the vob files, select codec and settings for codec and it does the rest for you

heh Haven't been doin' the hardcore DVD ripping yet my friend. Just doin' some TV caps. Do you have any yummy recipes for that stuff?

BTW, is Vidomi free and ez? Where can I get it?

Vidomi is as easy as easy gets, and I think it's still free.
