Current Gen Console Modding

			well i would like to actually find out which is better as in the most reliable and "easiest." i have a ps2 "slim" and not only can this console be modded, but an external Hdd can be used to play iso straight from that. i still can't figure out the way to do this and afterdawn.com has shown many methods and i don't know if by any chance anyone in here has ever done it around here and if it it has worked the best for them. for one i know if i pick the external hdd method i will save $$$ buying blank dvds. i would like any info anyone is able to offer about this. thx

			I have donde some research (I bought a new ps2 the past week) and: External USB Hdd supposedly have these disadvantages: - Longer load times - Incompatibility You can put almost any modchip (discard clones), if you install a laser protection board. The only thing you have to figure out is the compatibility of any component you are going to install with your board version. Look in ps2nfo's forums. They have a decent tutorial of modchips. I plan to buy a Crystal Chip in www.mod-chip.com... this weekend. Is this shop reliable? (as always, please delete this message if it is breaking the forum rules)
