I have donde some research (I bought a new ps2 the past week) and: External USB Hdd supposedly have these disadvantages: - Longer load times - Incompatibility You can put almost any modchip (discard clones), if you install a laser protection board. The only thing you have to figure out is the compatibility of any component you are going to install with your board version. Look in ps2nfo's forums. They have a decent tutorial of modchips. I plan to buy a Crystal Chip in www.mod-chip.com... this weekend. Is this shop reliable? (as always, please delete this message if it is breaking the forum rules) |
