depends what you're using it for. I know Nero has demos. They also have a OEM version that's cheap |

I own Nero 6 Ultra Edition. |

Then use it... |
link343 | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
I tried to burn dreamcast games on it and it wont work. I'm talking about burning Homebrew games. |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
what format are they? sometimes 6 doesn't like to burn 5.5 images. Use Daemon Tools to mount the images and then copy from the virtual drive to your CD. Works like a charm |
link343 | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
Their CDI's. But I usely use nrg for Nero. |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
well you can use cdi2nero to convert them or use daemon tools |
link343 | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
Ok, I have my image mounted, now what do I do? |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
pretend like you're doing a direct disc copy. for the source drive select the virtual DVD drive |
link343 | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
What? |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
do you know how to copy a CD in Nero? |
link343 | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
Yes. I keep getting a read error when I try to copy. |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
well maybe the image is messed up? you have the DT virtual drive selected as the source, correct? |

Nero 6 doesn't seem to work right for burning DC images. Use Nero 5 instead. |
racketboy | Jun 23, 2004 | |||
I use Nero 6 all the time the only problems are fixed by using the Daemon Tools method I described |
it290 | Jun 24, 2004 | |||
Yeah, it works for some people, but seriously, you wouldn't believe how often a topic comes up at DCemulation about 'I can't get nero 6 to work!', when 5 works fine. |
racketboy | Jun 24, 2004 | |||
Yeah I know there's always DiscJuggler too |

IIRC I used to use TMPGEnc to encode and Nero to burn. |
