As a big fan of the original Blaster Master on the NES, I was very excited to hear about a sequel on the Genesis.

However BM2 just doesn't capture the magic of the original game at all. The difficulty is way too high, the art and music is uninspired, and the gameplay is mindless. There isn't that sense of exploration that BM had, instead things are fairly linear. I'm pretty sure none of the original staff were involved with this game.

As it stands, Blaster Master still needs a proper follow-up.
