Where is the best place to get the most recent version of the ASPI Layer?

Thanks in advance.

you mean the drivers?

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/d...odkey...

try that, I always use the adaptec drivers.

ASPI stuff has always been hit or miss for me.

I wish someone would just make this whole burning thing super easy and problem free

I always get it working, just usually takes more effort than I want to put into it *grumble*. It will be time to format again soon, for that fresh clean OS feeling (and another foray into the world of linux), and I'll have to figure it all out again.

I get it working too, but it usually takes experimenting with a few different ASPI layers.

Altough this time around I still can't get CDRWin to recognize my burner

If this is for Windows 2K or XP, then for heaven's sake, forget Adaptec.

Get ForceASPI 1.8.... It includes the latest 4.72.1 layer and makes it much easier to get stuff up and running on XP.

Muy bien, thank you. Expect to see it in the misc section shortly.

I've had problems even from ForceASPI

the adaptec installer for xp doesn't work I know, I usually end up copying files to locations myself lol.
