Are cd boards interchangeable?

			I've got an old Pal model 1 Saturn with a language (50/60Hz) mod and a newer and broken us model 2 saturn. So I would like to take the 32pin cd board out of my us saturn and built it in my pal saturn to replace the 64pin cd board. Can this work? Are the pal and us cd boards compatible?
