Search for a PSF or PSF2 ripper.

PSF and PSF2 require intricate knowledge of assembly.

not fun to do as a side project

The videos are prolly usual VOB movie files (DVD movie files).

Now the sound... good luck on that.

A Video Camera in front of the TV and a microphone in front of the speaker!

ghetto, hehe

for better quality just hook it to a capture card, you may have to sit through each movie and song... but to locate the prog and get it running and do all the reencoding of the songs is a lot of time too.

Might these utilities... be of any help to you?

Perhaps? I'm not really sure.

There are already PSF and PSF2 rippers and players.

PS2play lets you convert PS2 movie files into about any format you want. I ripped the Armored Core 2 intro movie to a DivX AVI a couple years ago.

Yea, you still have to know assembly, thats why PSFs are kinda hard to get right now.
