32 or 64 pin Sega Saturn?

		is there any possibility to differ between a 32 and a 64 pin controller chip Sega Saturn Model without looking inside it???? I've got 2 Sega Saturn machines, one is the old model with the drive/access light (this one has got a 20 Pin Cable anyway) the other is the newer Model (with round buttons and no drive/access light) but that one has got a 64 Pin Controller Chip, so I can't get a mod board in there anyway... so can one tell if there is a 32 or 64 Pin Controller Chip inside a Model 2 Sega Saturn without opening it????

		I've found that the Saturn's made in 'Indonesia' seem to be 64pin version. And those made in 'China' are 32pin. You can see where it was made by the label on the back. (This is based on PAL/Euro Saturn's) This may not be the case with all Saturn's... just something to look for perhaps? Also, if you can take the battery cover off, and look to the right on the PCB next to the battery, there are points for what look like a switch on the PCB (marked 'SW1' and 'SW4'). These points seem to be on 64pin chip version and not on 32pin'ers. Another thing to look for?

		THX! this Indonesia/China thing could help me out ;D I'm gonna buy a PAL/EUR Saturn anyway since I live in Europe ^^

		Nah, pure evil would be a 20 pin Saturn in a case with round buttons. At least with you can potentially swap out a Sanyo CD board.

Note to self: Buy broken Model 2 Saturns and replace guts with working Model 1s. Sell on ebay. Allow EVIL HYBRIDS to spread across the world.
