Somewhere I read that the Saturn Gameshark could be used for playing burned games, is this true? If not, why do some homemade Saturn games have a Gameshark version?

Because you can execute programs through the Commlink without having to burn a CD.

Ah, ok. Well that makes things clear. I guess its the same with the Pro Action Replay.
