Weird sound issues
Gallstaff - Nov 29, 2003

Just today I noticed that no matter what i'm listening to on my computer wheater it be an mp3, movie, or just regular windows sounds like an IM alert or error beep, it echos. I had never noticed this problem before, but it's really bugging me. It sounds like the sounds from my speaker are all coming from inside a cave or something. I havent changed any sound hardware or prefrences or anything.

Does anyone know what might be the problem?

Check to make sure one of the "features" didn't get turned on by accident. Somewhere int he sound thingy you should be able to turn it off.

Probably Control Panel> Audio HQ > EAX Control Panel. Set audio effects to "(no effects)"

that's what I was going to suggest... though creative cards do suck lol. The reason I was asking was that if you do have eax, that's probably the cause of your problem.

Thats all I got in my audio HQ folder... and when i try to open the two lower exe's it says something like 'please specify the path where *.ahq files are located' or something.

And the above exe just doesnt open. What me do?

EDIT: I fixed it, nevermind. Thanks!
