UK/Europe power supply on Japanese Saturn?

Say I was to consider doing an "ulti-mod" on one of my Japanese systems (although I doubt that I will), or just hypothetically, would switching out a Japanese system's power board from the case with a spare UK one work and eliminate the need for a stepdown converter (not that I mind using one, although mine is made to look like a PS2 =D ) ?

I've done that before with a couple of white Saturns.

As long as the donor UK Saturn is of the same model (1 or 2) as the Japanese one you should be fine.
