Hello,

The TruMotion Library need a key. Without it, the only thing you can install is the sound codec. Does somebody have it?

Thanks,

Bill N.

when you run latest virtual dub on windows 98 you can use truemotion S, when you use XP and same vdub you don't see truemotion, why ? is there a hint to see it ? it's the same app

I'm guessing the codec is so old it's only registered in Windows' system.ini? Do newer Windows versions still support that, or do the codecs have to be registered in the registry? (Windows still lists some codecs in the system.ini for backwards compatibility, but that doesn't mean the OS itself uses the entries.)

I am also very interested in getting Duck Truemotion S to work in Virtual dub in XP since it's a real pain to use win98 in vmware compared to XP in virtualbox. I discovered in the documentation that they used a program called VidEdit back in the day and it does actually detect Duck Truemotion S when you run it in XP http://www.earthstation1.com/UtilityFiles/!videdit...

Use Super http://www.videohelp.com/software/SUPER... to convert files to that old 90s .AVI format that videdit likes using these settings:

Deep Fear uses some sort of custom open source Duck Truemotion version for it's fmvs so when you replace the intro with your own file it runs garbled with sound, 2 days of headaches to figure that one out, thanks Sega!. I recommend using Sonic 3D (US) if anyone ever wants to test their converted Duck Truemotion files as it works just fine.

it would be worth to try some 3.1/95 app like adobe premiere. videdit accept just "16bits" codecs, we need a tool that accepts 16 and 32 bits codecs.
