Read about it on DCEmulation's news page...

arugh, why does sega care so much?? i mean, they dont sell dcs anymore, and there are still a few commercial dc games in development(borderdown), sega can maybe make some some money if somebody jumps ship in the console wars from xbox,ps2,or GC to the treamcast then buys borderdown. ( i doubt that this is likely to happen tho, face it, the dreamcast is history, and treamcast will too

You're lucky it isn't Sony. They'd come to their house and kill them, let alone declare it illegal. Besides, they still license the DC hardware, so if the makers of Treamcast wanted to they could sell a legal unit - but they'd have to give Sega money! Pirates, give money? Nah, it'll stay illegal.

Why is sega jumping on the treamcast? I'm sure there have been many illegal products infrigning on sega other than this. In fact, i'm sure there have been so what's the beef now?

you forgot to add that SONY would keep said company in legal limbo for years until they're dead broke.....and THEN come to their house and kill them

sure there have been, gallstaff, but they haven't been sold in a huge scale in every well known import shop around, like the treamcast is now.

not to mention they didn't even ask sega.

Depending on what the actual cost is, maybe Majesco can license it and release it legally like they did with the "Genesis 3"...

I remember they had plans to re-release the saturn and a couple of hits games but the deal fell through with Sega Maybe the dc will re-emerge with a similar deal in a couple of years though

hmm ppl seem to be quick to jump on sega for pulling the plug on treamcast but arent we forgetting how crap that product is?

 Gallstaff Sep 26, 2003
Why did you bother coming back <_<

excuse me mr "i love treamcast".

i thought i was entitled to my opinion just as much as anyone else.

i remember a user on this forum (sorry i forgot who) purchased a treamcast and gave a review of it. it was nothing but negative. so why would anyone care if sega squashed it. i think thats good.
