why are ppl so easily banned here?

I haven't seen many bans lately

but when people do get banned, they are usually blatenly stupid.

If they are just kinda stupid they are usually cut a break and just flamed instead

Exactly, I have never read the rules....but I am smart enuf to know what I can and can't do.....the people who usually get banned are people who have made their frist 1-2 post asking about isos....this isn't ollerated here and I see it as a good thing that these dumbass humans get banned....Do they IP ban or just sig ban?

you can do IP bans, but I don't know if everybody does it all the time

they should use it for those REAL stupid ones....remember that super yoshi guy that made like 20 dif screen names? that was great...that was when I first signed up....I dont think many ppl remember this...

Yeah I had him in mind when I read this post

he just didn't give up

however, he might have gotten around the IP ban if he used dialup or maybe different ISP or PCs (library etc)

its just that i ran across a user status reading "banned" when they had 400+ posts, and i would guess by that time they would have gained a bit of respect. ive been here for almost a year now, and it pretty much is imho, follow the rules or else. but i honestly cant complain.

If you get banned, is there ever an unban? Like lets say you are good with all the people, then you do something that breaks the rules and you get banned, but your not really a bad person and everyone likes you. Can you get unbanned or is that the end?

The first time Rat was banned, IIRC, it was related to him linking to some site's pic for his avatar. They found out and replaced the pic with a porn pic of the same filename, thus same URL and one of the admins back then thought Rat was really using a porn pic and banned him for that. It was a misunderstanding and he was later unbanned.

The "last time" was when the board was hacked earlier this year or so. I guess the hacker didn't like Rat's promotion to Admin status back then, and so it remained (i.e., Rat's no longer an Admin) when the board eventually went back to normal again.
