| Wouldn't it be illegal to monitor what people do on their personal computers? That would be an invasion of privacy big time. | |||

| I heard that marijuana use in Canada was common anyways and they just made it legal for the hell of it, just so they could say that it's legal now. Somebody told me that when he went to the big C last year, there were some pot-smoking hippies in the same coffee place as some police and they didn't care at all. Hmm, with laws that lenient, that would be a nice place to live. | |||

| I garuntee you 100% that this will not pass. About 3/4 of my clientel have a bunch of music that they downloaded from napster/kazaa. If they did this then just about everybody with a computer will be angry. Don't even worry yourself about it. | |||

| A lot of stupid things are said by people that don't understand the technology. This will never happen. BTW, this same guy recieved over $18,000 US dollars last year from copyrighted music revenue(TechTV) . . . . so, the guy is just guardin' his pocketbook. | |||

| something like this will pass - i think it is inevitable they think they are losing too much money and besides they have other motives for pushing something like this - i just hope they dont include copyrighted material which is not in production anymore as for the movie and music industry - i think those figures they provide are way off sure there are people who dont give a shit about the quality of thier movies or music as long as its free or close to it -- but i think there are many that do care and many that download stuff they wouldn't buy anyways | |||

| thing is, destroying a pc (which isn't possible in software anyways) would be destruction of personal property.. and is a crime just about anywhere in the world. | |||
| googlefest1 | Jun 23, 2003 | ||
| i think he just used destroy for dramatic effect there are a bunch of hurdels for thins but eventualy they will get over all of them | |||
| gameboy900 | Jun 23, 2003 | ||
| Well you CAN destroy a pc using software. For example you can corrupt the flash rom bios of the mobo or burn out the graphics chip by overclocking the hell out of it. | |||
