I think Aero Dancing supports it, or maybe it's Air Force Delta, I can't remember which. |

Pearl Jammzz | May 5, 2004

racketboy | May 5, 2004 | |||

Got SS TS off YJ at 500 yen each plus shipping. For TC5+ I got mine from YJ while mate got his from www.gamechoiceclub.com.... I paid mine $11 while he got his $19. In Japan Saturn Twinstick cost around 500 yen which is around $6. Plus shipping for $13 and it's still under $20 mate. 'Coz if you go through other route it could cost you more... cheers |

here's what I got... no mention of VOOT But UT is on there |
it290 | May 7, 2004 | |||
I know for a fact that VOOT uses it; I've never heard of UT using it before, however. Not sure about that one. Also, I think there is another version of Aero Dancing that allows you to use it as well. |

There is the JPN Aero Dancing F and supposedly there is a ripped copy of Daytona that has link support, but I have never tried it since I haven't been able to ever find it. |
racketboy | May 8, 2004 | |||
well if there's a ripped copy that has support, wouldn't that mean there is an original copy that does. Can't imagine that would be something easy to hack |

Well I checked out UT after reading the topic, but I saw no mention of it in the menus or the game manual. I do remember an ad in ODCM stating link cable support for the ps2 version, allowing for a 4 player game between 2 systems...maybe it was mistakenly listed due to that. I also checked up on the Daytona claim, apparently it was false information... neither the Japanese/US versions support it. It was an announced feature but it was scrapped before the game came out, due to little support of the cable. This is a tad strange considering it did have internet play... how hard could adding link functionality have been? Maybe someone will eventually figure out how to exploit the online mode and set up a network...then you could have 4 tvs and 4 dcs This auction... made me laugh because it states that Capcom vs SNK supports the link cable...what the crap good would that do? Each player would have a fullscreen...of the same thing :lol: But it does answer your question of how long the cable is: 2 meters. As far as I know there are only 3 games that support the link cable. 1.F355 (*you have to unlock it) 2.VOOT 3.Aero Dancing F To unlock the mode in F355, here are the instructions
If you do end up getting the cable, don't forget to give us your feedback ---Ammut |

hmm a whole 3 games |
ShadowofBob | May 8, 2004
Forgot to add that Sega Tetris (JPN) will also work with the Link cable. Unfortunately there is no code or anyway to unlock link mode in Daytona(or at least no one has found one). |

Gotta do what you gotta do *shrug*. |

Here... |

I already post a screenshot of that page, GB, but thanks |
Ammut | May 9, 2004 | |||
Sega Tetris supports it? Come to think of it, that does sound familiar... but what good would that do? I mean, wouldn't both screens still show the same thing? And yea, its sad how little support there is for the cable, but its even worse when you consider that ALL the games have a 2 player split screen mode anyway. I would suggest only getting it if you really like F355, or want a more arcade like experience for VOOT (make sure to get the twinsticks first though). ---Ammut |
