Sonic CD  the 2011 version  for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, and PCs makes Sonic the Hedgehogs sidekick is a playable character. Players can unlock Tails after completing the game. From the screenshots, it looks like Tails can fly too, which should make exploring levels easier.
