Something's wrong with the saturn's internal saves

My saturn's been doing this for years now, but since I've mainly played simple action games like House of the Dead and various fighting games, it hasnt been much of a problem. Now that I'm getting into the wonderful set of RPGs and adventure games, it has become a terrible bother.

The game saves ok, and I can load the saves if I reset or turn it back on in less then a few minutes.

Does it have something to do with the saturn's internal battery? Anyone ever have a similar problem? Know any places where to get a SS memory card cheap?

maybe the battery is running low. You can replace it by flipping the little piece of plastic off the back of the saturn and removing the battery by pulling it up and out. It's a cr2032 just like the dreamcast vmu uses. you should be able to get them at radio shack or cvs.
