Ok, i'm not using a pc game pad and that first church shoot out with the big green things is so fucking hard! Has anyone actally succeded in it using the keyboard!?

 jim993 Apr 9, 2002
is it the one where they jump aroudn and stuff i used some cheat for it because i couldn't do it on a keyboard.

 Gallstaff Apr 9, 2002
yes! they jump from side to side like little crack monkeys and i can't get a good idea of where they land. then when i do, five more come up and they kill me! What should i do?

no clue had the same problem. I foudn some cheat utility for it on some web page the thing is you had to use an early version of gens with it forget where i got it from so don't bother asking.

Hmm, I find all the shooting scenes very easy with a keyboard. Oh well, you can use a trainer, but you must run the game with Gens version 1.20 in order for it to work...

You can find the trainer on my site:

um....do you have any hacks that don't freeze up gens when a shooting scene is about to start?

 BAMMFrazer Apr 12, 2002
Works fine for me... Just enable it before starting Gens... and make sure to use version 1.20.

I can't help you more if it does not work - I did not make it. All I know is it works perfectly for me.

start it before i start gens... the readme says while in gens. Ok, i guess i better go try that.

If it's the scene I'm thinking of, yeah it's pretty tough. Even playing it on an actual Mega CD with a Megadrive controller is pretty hard. The only way I could get through was to use my arcade stick with rapid fire on. I just held down the button and moved the stick as fast as I could to the oncoming hoards.

Probably doesn't help much with a keyboard, unless one of the emus allows you to select a rapid fire option...

That took me a bloody age too with a Sidewinder. My Sidewinder seems to have some driver issue as well, it kind of ghosts in a direction for a few seconds every now and then. It's the second one thats done it and bloody Microsoft give you no help at all, surprise surprise.

OK, whine over

Is the justifier the menacer or a compltely different thing?

I had a menacer, probably one of the worst purchases of my life. Only about three Genny carts ever came out you could use it with I think. I never had a CD.. Can you use it with Snatcher?

Are you talking about the insectors? All you have to do is wait for them to land, then wait like a fraction of a second, giving them a chance to settle in. If try to shoot them off the moment they hop out and land they'll hop away somewhere else. You have to give them a chance to settle in their spot before you open fire. Then you'll just need a lot of patience as its a long sequence.

Hee hee...that shooting scene took me like 3 tries (with an actual Genesis pad), then there's the one after it (that's a LOT easier) and the final shooting scene....is when I run out of continues. AAAAAARRRRGGGHHHH!!! I had to turn the game off for awhile, lest I drive a railroad spike through my Sega CD.

Played it yesterday, needed four tries on a original sega cd. you should really use a pad for this. just keep pressing, don't wait for the insectors, press madly until your thumb hurts (mine did). then just move quickly to the insectors. don't wait for the insectors and then shoot, keep on shootin !!!!

I thought all the fights were simple, but then I spent a lot of time on the shooting range. These shootouts really remind me of Shenmue QTE.
