how do i use the pixies, leprechauns, etc, have looked around in the net but nothing, i know its battle related and they do preemptive attacks but i cant figure out how

Any help will be much appreciated

To quote a FAQ... from Gamefaqs:

PIXIE SYSTEM

The pixie can be used right before the monster's first attack. Here's what need to be done for a successful attack. Use either A or C to attack. Depending on how the monster enters the screen determines what pixie you need to use. Here's a guide.

Name Monster's method of approach

Pixie Frontal Assault

Fairy Attack from above

Sucubus Attack from the left

Encubus Attack from the right

Leprechaun Attack from below

GameFAQs got smart, when they realized that a lot of people are linking directly to their FAQs, an implemented some kind of anti bandwidth stealer. To get around this, simply click on the link so a new browser window pops up, then copy and paste the link to the URL field of your browser and hit Enter.

Backt to STHA, wait until you get all the pixies... and find that Pixie Bell.

I don't get you there MasterAkumaMatata.

I just tested the link and it comes up OK.

BTW, is it possible to miss a pixie?

That is, if you don't get it the first time going through an area, will it still be there later? There are some I just can't seem to find...

How did you exactly test the link? Did you click on the link with your web cache, cookies, and everything else erased? If you haven't visited GameFAQs' site and you suddenly click on it like Altair and I did, you'll be brought to this page.... If you have visited GameFAQs' site before clicking you the link you gave, then it'll let you into the faq page directly, esp. if you already have GameFAQs' web site open on another browser window.

Getting back to your question, I'd say it is still possible. For the pixies you can't find, I did provide a link to a site that shows exactly on a map where all the pixies are located. For your convenience, here... it is again.

Oops. Maybe I've got a cookie from Gamefaqs or something 'cause it keeps coming up OK.

Thanks for the link MasterAkumaMatata, but I've already looked there. I'd even downloaded a copy to use offline. Maybe I've got my pixies confused but I can't seem to find one or two of them.

I'll just have to try again.

How can you get your pixies confused? Just go to your Pixies screen to see the pixies you've found; there should be 10 slots for each of the 5 category of pixes. For each pixie category where there's an empty slot, that's the category where you need to compare to the list of found pixies and look up where that/those pixie(s) can be found.

I guess I get my pixies confused because I play STHA at the end of a long day. And not every day.

I understand about the list of pixies in the status menu.

I've read through the walkthrough/pixie list.

I guess I just sometimes forget which pixie I'm looking for and where it should be.

It's really no big deal

It's been a long time since I last played, but I do remember using the Forbidden Box quite a lot, to have some fun, er wait, that was Shining in the Darkness, my bad, hehehe...

Actually, I believe this little excerpt from found at the end of the Pixies and Items Locations faq best sums it up for Godspeak:


  
	
	

		
		

			Spike Dragon gives Kusanagi (Best for Rodi/Akane. Even better than Musamune & Muramasa. Power attack granted by Kusanagi is Critical Strike. Kills one enemy instantly. 50%-75% chance of executing a critical strike. Unbelievable. Good luck getting one)



Suggestion: Get two Kusanagi and put both Rodi and Akane in the active party.

Keep killing those Spike Dragons until you get at least one Kusanagi.

Oh yes, love the Kusanagi!

I wondered why Rodi had started shredding opponents.

I'll have to keep looking for a second one.
