I'm curious, i'm soon to have a model 1 saturn in my posession, and i'm wondering if that particular model will accept the modboard that is offered at www.lik-sang.com... The reason I ask is that my model 2 saturn is in mint condition and I do not wish to "operate" so to speak on it and screw up the soldering and have a mint boxed non functional saturn. |

no, model 1 mods are near impossible to find, lik sangs will only work with model 2 |

However, if you want to get your hands dirty you can open up the "Model 1" and ensure that it doesn't have a "Model 2" CD interface; some do. |

So if the model 1 saturn has a model 2 interface, the mod chip would function in it? |

If the ribbon cable fron the CD board to the main board has 21 wires, a lik-sang mod will work. If it has 20, then you're out of luck. |

Hmm. looks like i'll just have to wait and rip apart the saturn i get to see if thats the case. |
