Hey segaxtreme, long time no see! I got a saturn over the weekend that just refuses to work. The disc motor doesn't move, the laser itself doesn't move and when I turn it off I have to re-do my settings (that can be fixed with a watch battery right?).
Got any ideas that might help fix this thing?

The two main things I can think of that might cause these symptoms aside from the obvious "fried laser" are:
- Lid switch stuck or disconnected
- CD reader to mainboard cable disconnected

I know thats working like it should because when I poke it the laser moves. The CD Spindel still isn't working though. All the cables I can see without removing anything are connected.
Any other ideas before I completely disassemble this thing?
