I'm sure I made a post about one on these I saw on ebay a while back but can't find it. Anyway, here's another cdr with the saturn ring pressed onto it, which as mal said (me thinks) would be suitable to make a working boot disk.

It might have the security ring, but I don't think it would.

My Virtual Open Tennis beta seems to have the same insert as the one for sale and it doesn't have the security ring.

Hmmmm...From what I've read online, the game betas SHOULD NOT have the security ring. Instead, you use a boot cd, that disables the check for the security ring (that cd of course has the security ring), then you load up your cd.

I know, but someone (gameboy900 perhaps?) reckons that there are CDRs that do have the security ring and they were used for review copies of games.

Yes, special disks with the ring do exist (more expensive) which allow test versions/demos to be played by reviewers, etc.
