Remote control software

		Has anyone used a program to turn your hanheld into a programably universal remote? I've seen many of these and I was curious if they work. I want to buy one of the programably ones with the LCD, but $100 is more than I can afford.

		The IR bea m on the PPC is really weak, you can only be a few feet away from the tv for it to work. Kinda useless if you ask me.

		Thanks for the advise. Lots of the sites quote 10-20 ft. I have a real small apartment and may try it out of curiosity.

		Old thread I know, but I hadn't seen it earlier... http://hp.vector.co.jp/authors/VA005810/re...on/pr... I used to use the Win95 version on my old laptop. It was a little slow and clunky, but it did what you asked of it.
