crystalmethod and I are working on catagorizing games by genre and trying to rank them.

Since the Sega consoles have a great abundance of excellent fighting games, I figured we would start with them. I'm also a bit of a connoisseur of 2D fighters.

I'm separating the 2D and 3D fighters since IMO they are very different.

I have ranked the games I am familiar with in order of what I think of them.

If I have left some exceptional game, please let me know.

Also please advise me of any adjustments in ranking that should be made.

I would like 2 votes for different people to be made in order for an actual change to be made.

Street Fighter Alpha 2 - Saturn

Street Fighter Alpha 3 - Dreamcast

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike - Dreamcast

Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves - Dreamcast

too many entries for a poll -- max is 10

so we're just doing it the old fashioned way -- verbal voting

we're only doing ones that are on Sega consoles

the other ones you mentioned --- did you think they should be moved on the list? and if so, where to?

Hm.. gotta add Eternal Champions (original and its Sega CD sequel). Those are a given. Hm.. What're some other good fighters.. Art of Fighting is good on MD/Genny, but of course it's at it's best on an actual Neo Geo.

Edit: I just noticed the Eternal Champions gamse. Hm.. King of Fighters 2000, 2001, and 2002 for DC. Capcom vs SNK and Capcom vs SNK 2 for C. King of Fighters 96, 97, and 98 on Saturn (were 94 and 95 released on Sat?)

Edit 2: Just noticed the Capcom vs SNk games.

It's hard to suggest how you change it without us all submitting our whole list in order.

You missed Street Fighter 3: Double Impact (better conversions than Third Strike IMO), and I really don't think Alpha 3 deserves to be that high given what else is on the list. Personally I'd have MvsC 2 higher than the prequel also.

OK, would somebody who has lots of KOF experience, please rank the different itterations

BTW, '99 Dream Match is basically KOF 98
