there was another similar article in this months PSM mag, that said that the cpu on the PSP is set to work at 333, but sony has instructed developers to program the unit, with 222 mhz in mind, they do this, to curtail power issues. Interesting article.

Very interesting article. So with a better battery, the PSP could do more? I wouldn'r doubt it.

yeah the article in PSM, said that sony might do some "tricks" down the road in regards to the battery so that the full power of the system can be used.

Yeah I read about that a while ago. Later revisions of the psp will supposedly come unlocked and come with a better battery. The same battery will be available to early adopters as well as the ability to bring the early versions up to speed.
