Ok here's my problem: whenever i oopen photoshop 7 and try to paste an image, it always pastes in black and white. I have no idea why, but is there a setting i may have accidently tampered with to change this? It's REALLY pissing me off.

Are you trying to create screenshots?

maybe you're editing in greyscale. That happened to me once.

make sure the color mode you want is selected in the image you are pasting into.

Maybe it's defaulting to greyscale.

Yeah this is a default but the thing is i can't get it BACK to collor at all!

if you're trying to change the color channels in an existing project from greyscale, i'm not exactly sure how to do that.

try to open a new project in rgb color, and copy the layers to the new project

nm dude i got it myself thx. I had to go up to image>mode>RGB color. Now it would be great if it was a default setting...

hehe -- that's what I was trying to tell you

Check in the preferences for the defaults.
